As I've said before, I've completed a rout of the visual novel.
I'm revisiting scenes and editing them. Some of them are written weirdly, and I'm rewriting them all together. Some just need editing, and some I'm fattening up. :)

Path "She was smiling" written.
Still to be edited. Recolored the logo. 1 is the new, 2 is the old. What do you think? Edit: Brighter? Updated the sketch of April opening Alix's door into a CG. I like how silhouettes are really easy to do, and feel really powerful and like they don't need anymore, don't you? Old one, for comparison. (Figured I'd change what she's wearing into a long coat and obviously show her arms being covered, as she's dressed for very cold weather, not just chilly weather.)
I decided to change the logo to fit the art-style, more (despite me saying I wouldn't re-do it before, but whatevs) What do you guys think? Personally, I like it. The contrast and colors are strong, it more fits with the artstyle, and the font- like before- is the same font that's being used in the game (Century Gothic). This time, though, I have the column not only being shown as part of the fire, but as part of the text, as well. I might change it just a little bit, by putting the little gear in front of the column. Old one, for reference. Edit: There we are.
Thinking about the direction I'm trying to take the art-style. Planning on ditching the extremely simple vectors in favor of better artwork, and having less animation. Planning on still using vectors, just more detailed vectors which will still be edited in Gimp or Fire Alpaca.
I did four new sketches and submitted two of them to the gallery. I didn't post the other two, due to them containing spoilers. Also, I'm not planning on re-doing the title page, or logo. I thought I'd show you this. The Serra sprite in front of a poster that I'm making for the game, at school.
Serra In Doorway is done. :) I honestly like the sort of... minimalist aesthetic. And the candle flickering.
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy. I announced that I wanted to work on the trailer/PV for a school project. I thought I'd let you know that I've gotten the green light, so that is what I'll be doing. :)
I also would like to share the progress I've made on my Serra CG, with you. I wrote notes on it for myself, and I figured I'd share those with you, as well. I told my instructor that each image would have moving pieces, so each part of the PV will probably end up moving something like The Silent Column Part 1's title screen and Serra's old "live" sprite. Exciting news everyone. One of my classes this semester is dedicated to developing a project of my choice that's related to my schooling. Since I've learned how to make music videos and do basic animations in school, I'm going to see if it's acceptable for me to create the trailer that I've been wanting to make. Also, I've found a synthesizer that sounds great, looks like it will be great for my purposes, is affordable, and is available at my local music shop. Music composition isn't related to my schooling but I'll be trying to compose the song for the trailer, as well. I know it'll be some effort and take up some time, but it's something I want to do.
Anyway, see you all, later. |
